SHIFTING VOICES FILM FUND x THE GREAT CHICAGO PITCH
Launched in 2021, the vision of The Shifting Voices Film Fund is to dismantle the structural barriers that Black, Indigenous and POC face in producing films that illuminate the vital, untold stories of their communities. This pervasive inequity has challenged some of the most talented new voices in filmmaking, has limited communities’ visibility and has impacted our collective growth and healing. The Shifting Voices Film Fund uplifts a variety of stories developed by BIPOC creators, including documentary feature-length films that explore, dissect, and celebrate BIPOC perspectives and experiences.
Launched in Fall 2021, The Shifting Voices Film Fund, in collaboration with dozens of leaders from the documentary field, chose three - six projects from 100+ submissions to share the stage, providing audiences with exclusive previews of their works-in-progress at the 2023 Great Chicago Pitch.

CMP is an innovative, member-based nonprofit organization fostering a nationwide community of philanthropists who support powerful documentary storytelling as a force for social justice and transformation.
